The Halloween event held by the Futatsuzaka Avenue shopping district in Handa City for the past 14 years is celebrating its 15th anniversary this year, featuring Sax Samurai as its first-ever invited guest. It promises to be a day of fun for local children, with the sloped street transformed into a pedestrianized stage.

What is the Futatsuzaka Carnival?

A Halloween event where local children take centre stage, planned and run by the Futatsuzaka Avenue shopping district in Handa City. It has been running for 14 years and marks its 15th anniversary this year. The sloping street is made into a pedestrian zone lined with food trucks and tents, and a parade takes place in the evening. In previous years, local dance and brass band groups performed on stage for free, but this year, for the first time, a project was launched to "invite a guest", and Sax Samurai was approached.

I will be performing on the main stage in the Lawson car park from 14:30 to 15:15. It is an outdoor truck stage (with a roof) and admission is free. It will only be cancelled in the event of severe weather.

The Sax Samurai on the same day

On this day, aside from Handa City, there will be more travelling throughout the day. Performances are also scheduled at the "60th Tokoname Ware Festival" in Tokoname City from 11:00, and the "Arimatsu Tenmusha Shrine Autumn Festival" in Midori Ward, Nagoya City from 17:30. Three towns will be visited in a single day.
